Privacy Policy

Deezan ("we", "us") operates deezan.uk, an AI-powered fashion discovery platform that helps shoppers find affordable alternatives to fashion items from UK retailers. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. Contact: hello@deezan.uk.

You can use Deezan Finder without signing up. When you run a search, we process your query to understand the item you are describing and to fetch matching products from retailer inventory.

We keep an anonymised record of searches — the query text, the parsed search terms, and how many results were returned. These records deliberately contain no user identifier of any kind: no account ID, no session ID, and no IP address. We use them only in aggregate (for example, "how many people searched for alternatives to a given brand this month") to improve the product and to produce anonymised market statistics.

Because the query text itself is stored, please avoid typing personal information into the search box — it is designed for product descriptions and links.

Accounts are optional and add saved favourites and private search history. If you sign up we store your email address (and name, if you sign in with Google), your saved favourites, and your search history.

Your search history is private to you and can be cleared at any time from the search screen. Your account data is never shared with retailers or advertisers, and we never sell personal data.

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in to your account. We do not run third-party advertising cookies on deezan.uk.

Product results link to retailer websites. Some of these are affiliate links: if you make a purchase, the retailer may pay Deezan a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links may pass through an affiliate network, which may set its own cookies on the retailer’s site to attribute the sale. Those cookies are governed by the network’s and the retailer’s own privacy policies.

Commissions never influence ranking: results are ordered by how well they match your search, not by commission rates.

We use a small number of processors to run the service: hosting and infrastructure providers, an authentication and database provider for account features, an AI provider to interpret search queries, and a product search provider to retrieve live retailer listings. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Email hello@deezan.uk and we will respond within 30 days. If you have an account, clearing your history and deleting your account removes your personal data from the live service.

If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date below and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email.
